“Dressed to kill” doesn’t literally mean wearing clothes appropriate for murder. It’s really just “dressed to impress” or “very well dressed”.
「パーティーに着るドレス、これで大丈夫かな？」
「大丈夫どころか、みんな感動するよ！」
Dressed to Kill（殺しのための服）は、そのままの意味ではなく、「他人を感動させる服」「とても良い服」を着ているという意味です。
