If you lose consciousness for a reason such as illness or overexertion, we say you pass out. Normally this phrase isn’t used for sleep, but occasionally you might hear something like, “I was so exhausted I just passed out.”


病気や無理をしすぎた理由で気絶をすると、「pass out」と言います。この表現は普段睡眠には使いませんが、たまに「あまりにも疲れて気絶したみたいに寝てしまった。」みたいな使い方もします。
