The Leonids Meteor Shower is named Leonids from the constellation Leo. Meteoroids are small rocks in space. When they fall to the earth, they burn up in the atmosphere. During a meteor shower, you can see many falling stars. You can see the Leonids every November because the earth passes by a comet trailing meteoroids during this month.
獅子座流星群の名前は星座の獅子座からきています。流星群は宇宙にある小さな石の集まりです。地球に衝突する前に、大気の中で燃えてしまいます。流星群のときにはたくさんの流れ星が見えます。獅子座流星群は、地球が彗星のばらまくかけら流星体の近くを通る毎年11月ごろに見えます。
